The Astrophysics Multi-View CT™ 450 is the world’s first 3D CT Cargo System. Combining multi-view radiography and high-speed computed tomography, it allows airlines, freight forwarders, and customs agencies to perform rapid and effective cargo inspections. Equipped with a powerful generator, the Multi-View CT™ delivers twice the power of conventional cargo systems. Operators can generate dozens of viewing angles of a single pallet, using Astrophysics’ unique algorithms to reconstruct the views into a single 3D image that allows operators to examine the cargo from all angles. This singular combination of radiography, tomography, and imaging power makes it easy to locate suspicious items with near-perfect accuracy anywhere on a pallet.
Supplied and supported in Afghanistan by Afghan World Technologies (AWT), the Multi-View CT™ 450 brings checkpoint-level scrutiny to high-volume air cargo and customs border checkpoints. It enables logistics teams and security officials to meet strict security mandates efficiently, inspecting complex and cluttered skids without requiring workers to break down pallets.

- 450kV Penetration Power: Equipped with a 450kV generator capable of penetrating up to 90 mm of steel—twice the power of standard cargo screening equipment.
- Multi-View Radiography & CT Modes: A single pass produces 7 distinct x-ray angles in 24 seconds, while multiple passes yield up to 35 images in 180 seconds to construct a full 3D CT image.
- Interactive 360° Examination: Operators can rotate the reconstructed 3D volume on screen and slice through images across Coronal, Axial, and Sagittal planes for full internal inspection.
- Efficient Skid Screening: Designed for standard cargo pallets with a roller bed capacity of 1,600 kg (3,527 lbs) and a throughput of up to 20 pallets per hour.
